The future of medicine is not just treating disease symptoms but also disease prevention in which we work to identify the underlying causes and develop pre-emptive strategies to live a happier and healthier life (Medicine 3.0 vs. Medicine 2.0, as described by Peter Attia, M.D., in his book Outlived, 2023.) This focus is the driving principle of my psychiatry practice, lifestyle, and continuing research and education. I’m eager to work with clients who genuinely care about heading off the underlying causes of some of the most troubling illnesses of our time including dementias like Alzheimer’s disease.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The most frequent comment I receive from my new clients is, “This is the first time I feel like a medical provider is listening and not judging me.” My goal is always to meet the client where they are. This is why each client is asked to complete a comprehensive assessment packet which I use along with good old fashion conversation to help me gain an understanding of their health goals.
