MY JOURNEY TO HEALING

My passion for functional and integrative medicine was born from my own journey to reclaim my health. In my 20s, I battled constant exhaustion, persistent weight struggles, stress fractures, back and arm acne, and relentless gut issues, despite my best efforts to live healthily. Everything changed when I began working with a naturopathic doctor who uncovered the root causes: hypothyroidism, food sensitivities, digestive insufficiencies, and chronic stress.
With thyroid support, targeted nutrition, herbs, supplements, and nervous system work, I found my way back to vibrant health. My energy returned. The weight effortlessly fell off. My skin cleared. I could finally enjoy meals without feeling inflamed or unwell. It was transformative—I didn’t just get back to who I was; I became better.
This journey taught me the power of understanding the “why.” Once I knew why my body was out of balance, the path forward became clear. Now, I bring that same curiosity and determination to others’ healing journeys. I ask questions until I arrive at the root cause. These include: Why is the body showing these symptoms? What shifted health out of balance? How can I gain further insights with various testing? Most importantly, how ready is someone to take the steps to heal, not just their physical body but also, their mental, emotional, and spiritual being?
